Potassium Chloride (KCl), traded as Muriate of Potash or MOP, is the most economical source of potassium in Indian agriculture and the workhorse behind most bulk NPK blends. At 60% K₂O it carries more potassium per bag than any other common straight fertilizer.
Because it carries chloride, MOP is not suitable for chloride-sensitive crops — grapes, pomegranate, tobacco, potato for chips, and most export horticulture. For those, use Sulphate of Potash (SOP) 00:00:50 or another grade from our chloride-free range.

Recommended Crops
Paddy, wheat, maize, sugarcane, cotton, soybean, groundnut, pulses, coconut, oil palm and fodder crops. Not recommended for chloride-sensitive crops.
Dosage & Application
- Soil application: 20–50 kg per acre, applied basally or split between basal and top dressing, as per soil test
- Bulk blending: standard potash carrier in NPK blends
- Avoid on saline soils and where irrigation water is already high in chloride
